Cocktails From Around The World: Mount Gay Tropical Passion

A few months ago (two to be exact) I had the pleasure of attending the Barbados Food, Wine & Rum festival which featured top chefs from around the world like Chef Ming Tsai, owner of the award-winning Blue Ginger restaurant near Boston, MA; celebrity Chef Mark McEwan (my favorite chef of the event!), head judge of the Food Network's Top Chef Canada; and Chef Marcus Samuelsson owner of the Red Rooster Harlem in New York, just to name a few.
The event was well attended, and I must say the food was every bit as tantalizing as it looked. Luckily, I came away from the event with a few good cocktail recipes that I'll be sharing on this blog over the next few weeks. So as you head into another weekend, no matter where you are you can quickly mix up this recipe and experience a refreshing, tropical holiday escape....Cheers!

Mount Gay Tropical Passion

Ingredients:
2 parts Mount Gay Eclipse Rum (the best rum brand in the world!)
1 part Passoa (passion fruit liqueur)
1 part Bols Creme de Banane
2 parts Pineapple Juice

Method:
Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Pour into a highball glass and garnish with pineapple and a cherry.
